Who operates CVReady?

Information we process

Depending on how you use the service, information may include the details you enter to create a CV (such as name, contact details, work history, education and skills), job-advert text you provide, technical request data, and payment status or transaction identifiers returned by our payment provider. Do not enter information you do not want included in your CV.

Why we use it

We use submitted information to generate and display your CV, provide the paid PDF download, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse and respond to support requests. Payments are processed through Stripe; CVReady does not ask you to send full card details by email.

AI processing

CV details may be sent to an AI service provider to generate or improve CV text. The service uses third-party providers to operate the website and generate CV content. For questions about data processing, contact Support.

Legal bases and retention

Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to provide the service or take steps requested before purchase, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement. Data is retained only for as long as needed for the stated purposes or as required by law. CV information should not be retained longer than necessary.

Sharing

Information may be processed by service providers needed to run the website, generate CVs, host the service and process payments. We do not sell personal information. Providers process data as needed to deliver the service and subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to certain processing. You may also complain to the Maltese Information and Data Protection Commissioner. Contact Support for privacy requests.

Cookies, local storage and analytics

Your CV draft and edits may be stored temporarily in your browser session to support preview, editing and checkout. If you choose to allow analytics, CVReady records anonymous usage events such as page views, CV-generation success or failure, template selection, checkout starts, and verified payment completion. Analytics may include a random browser/session identifier, page path, referring website host, campaign tags, device category and country. We do not send CV text, names, email addresses or other CV form contents to analytics. Analytics is optional and you can decline it; the analytics dashboard reports only data collected after consent. You can clear local storage in your browser to reset your choice. Payment verification is processed separately when needed to deliver a paid download. The website also relies on third-party services to provide AI generation, hosting and payment processing.
